Become a Coordinator for your neighbourhood
You can support your neighbours by acting as the Coordinator for your street or area. Coordinators play an essential role in helping us maintain connections in the community.
What does being a coordinator involve?
We’ll send you some customised letters so you can do a letterbox-drop in your street or area. These will include forms for your neighbours to add their details to our database, which they can return to you. You have the option of direct access to our database to enter the information, or you can send the forms back to us so we can do it for you.
Once your group is established, you can circulate contact lists to the group and you’ll be our key point-of-contact for the group in the event of emergencies. We’ll also depend on you to keep members’ details updated as people come and go from the neighbourhood.
Beyond that you can choose how involved you wish to be with your group – some coordinators organise regular group meetings and social gatherings.
How do I determine where my street or area group starts and stops?
This is entirely up to you. You can opt to be the coordinator for a handful of houses in your immediate vicinity, for your whole street, or for a number of streets (this is most common in rural areas where there are fewer households).
